Knowledge Transfer

TruTek ensures that, as solutions are developed and implemented, all logic and procedures are documented, as well as distributed and discussed.

The knowledge-transfer process doesn't end there. Throughout the entire project, TruTek educates the functional staff on the Oracle technology that has been utilized. This education often begins with quality education instructor lead training and continues with one-on-one mentoring sessions.

TruTek consultants have in-depth experience mentoring users on the various Oracle Modules. A super-user approach is utilized, where TruTek experts teach 1 or 2 "super-users" how to use all the functionality of a module, and a more general class is held for everyone using that module.

After TruTek has minimized its role, the super-users can handle most of the tasks. However, because of TruTek's knowledge of the client's systems, it can quickly respond to requests from the super-users. Some examples are: Year-end payroll processing, Month-end close procedures, Year-end AR clean-up, finding and fixing missing element links in payroll, providing quarterly and year-end patching and testing. We have many success stories providing a level of support that other companies can't provide.

Transfer of knowledge to our clients includes providing users with documentation of the setup steps and procedures through the use of flowcharts, narratives and screen shots. TruTek Consultants continue to be valuable resources for Users with Clients long after projects are completed. Training by TruTek is generally customized to meet the specific needs of a particular client.

TruTek has developed training for functional and technical users. Training material from previous projects has been accumulated into a training repository, complete with screen shots. This training material is extensive and covers almost all modules. Training documentation is about 75% complete when starting with the existing TruTek training repository and is tailored to the client needs as the project progresses.
