The DB Pump is a web enabled data migration/transformation tool that solves the problem of moving heterogeneous data from a source legacy system to a destination system. The DB Pump was designed so that all transfers are done via memory rather than using a file system to buffer data. This simplifies use and allows the pump to achieve its primary goal, transfer speed.
